A curious fact is that right here, the waters of the Penchovska River disappear and resurface at the Penchovska River Spring Waterfall. Only during high flow does the river continue south as a surface stream along its riverbed.
Note: Located in the Central Balkan National Park, "Dzhendema" reserve, i.e. access is restricted. Its location is outside the marked trails and a permit is required. If you do not have one, you are subject to a fine! Visiting it is at your own risk and keep it clean!
